What should I do if I feel sore or bruised after releasing my muscles?

Is that normal?

Experiencing soreness (and even some bruising) is not uncommon when first using any of our muscle release products, especially if you are very tight and/or have never applied pressure to these areas of your body in this way. This will get better over time as your body adjusts and your muscles learn to stay more relaxed. If you have soreness or bruising, take 24-48 hours off from using the tool. Try using a combination of ice and light stretching or movement (i.e. go for a walk) to help the healing process.

How to minimize soreness or bruising

We strongly recommend that you ease yourself into using the products by using modifications to reduce/scale the pressure to your individual needs. The Mark or Orbit can be used in a standing position around the corner of a wall, or down on the ground with your leg out to the side. For the Range, use your hands or a pillow to support behind your head. You'll see these techniques in the videos on the How To page on our website.
