Pressing down on the handle of the Mark is an important feature of the tool, as this is how you'll press directly into the iliacus muscle on the inside of the pelvic bone to release it. If you feel like the tip is not rotating enough or that the handle feels like it is flexing too much, it is likely caused by some combination of the 3 factors listed below. Try these tips.
Tip #1: Be patient and give it more time if you are very tight
If your iliacus is very tight, there will be less "give" in the muscle and this may reduce how deep the tip of the Mark sinks in at first. This is normal and will improve over time. Consider using the Orbit ball in the hip flexor region first as a warmup before using the Mark. Remain consistent with your use of the Mark and remember to take deep breaths as you hold pressure for 90+ seconds in each spot you explore. The tip will begin to sink in deeper as the hip flexor region becomes more relaxed.
Tip #2: Place the tip further from your pelvic bone
If you are placing the tip of the Mark too close to the pelvic bone, there is less space for the tool to rotate. Try placing the tip a little further away from the bone and let it sink in with the tip pressing straight up. This creates more space within the pelvis for the tip to sink in deeper and, when pressing on the handle, to rotate more and press into the iliacus muscle.
Tip #3: Press lower on the handle
The handle of the Mark is supposed to be flexible. It is most flexible at the very end of the handle and is more rigid as you move down on the handle. Try pressing towards the middle of the handle or even closer to the base of the handle for more strength.
